The author's intention in this article is to share some of the knowledge and experience gained by an organization from the successful implementation of automation tools in two different laboratory locations. The article examines the application of these tools from a strategic and business prospective rather than from a technical point of view. It is intended that the information provided will reduce some areas of risk for the reader when considering or installing automation tools.
