Provider performance measurement systems come in a variety of approaches, but they all target the daunting management frontier of clinical results. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations has bumped up the visibility of such systems by launching Oryx, a program that will make performance measurement an integral aspect of its evaluation efforts.
