Providing cost-effective, high-quality care can pose a challenge in this era of managed care. One agency successfully established and implemented multidisciplinary teams to organize and optimize care. Two case studies compare the nursing process of traditional versus well-managed care and show that clinical pathways can be effective tools to enhance the nursing process in home care.
