French state of the art with regard to total quality management: a focus on hospital care--accreditation, evaluation and quality assurance.

Accreditation, evaluation and quality assurance are major components of the current reform of the French health care system. As in other countries, the objectives are continuous quality improvement, improvement of patients' satisfaction with their care.
