This article takes a brief view of the role of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the teaching/learning of African American students. The article also presents Mrs. Ray Kornegay's view on her personal experience at a Historically Black College/University. Mrs. Kornegay's views are congruent with the espoused beliefs found in the article.
