[Determination of the pre-clinical stage of circulatory insufficiency in mitral valve defect].

The determination of the value of the threshold physical exercise and of the central haemodynamic indices by means of radiocardiography permitted to prove the existence of a preclinical stage of circulatory insufficiency in patients with mitral valve disease. As early as at this stage the cardiac output is reduced at rest and the period of pulmonary circulation and filling of the left heart is increased. Under physical exercises the level of the threshold tolerance is decreased. Under such conditions the pre-clinical and Stage I of circulatory insufficiency can be easier differentiated by the direction of the haemodynamic changes.
