[Myoglobin concentration and the state of myocardial organelles following myocardial infarction].

A study was made of the quantitative changes in myoglobin and the subcellular organization of the myocardium at early periods of experimental infarction of the heart in dogs. There proved to be a correlative relationship between the myoglobin content and the state of subcellular organization of the cardiomyocytes in the ischemic area and the so-called intact portions of the right and the left ventricles.
