Care for the elderly: a different dimension.

The geriatric day hospital has established a place in the services for the elderly. That place is examined in detail in a new book 'Progress in Geriatric Day Care', by J. C. Brocklehurst and J. S. Tucker (King's Fund, pounds 7.00). Here Professor Brocklehurst, who holds the chair of geriatric medicine at the University of Manchester, outlines some of the book's findings.
