Abstract

'The concept of the nursing officer has much to command it and we commend it and we recommend that her clinical role should be developed...'declared the Royal commission on the NHS. L.C. Howell, area nurse (information service planning), Cambridgeshire AHA (T), in the second of three articles, suggests how this development might take place.
