Hospital energy costs have increased dramatically in the past decade. With the new incentives for increased operating efficiency, hospitals must now find ways of reducing these costs by conserving energy. This article discusses the energy problem, solution, and results of an energy conservation program at the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority in Atlanta, Georgia.
