An aminoglycoside dosing program using the Casio FX-700P pocket computer.

The utilization of the desktop microcomputer, programmable calculator, and scientific calculator has simplified the management of formulas used in pharmacokinetic drug monitoring. However, each is limited by either high cost, lack of portability, or difficulty in operation. The pocket computer offers a solution to these problems. Using the CASIO FX-700P as an example, an aminoglycoside dosing program is presented together with a program listing and sample cases demonstrating its use.
