The authors describe a modification of the method of transauricular hypophysectomy. Anatomical reference-points suggested permit to direct the extractor directly to the gland without any use of additional instruments (goniometers, apparatus for fixation of the animal head, etc.). A detailed description of the course of the operation and of the instruments used is presented.
