Medicare program; schedule of limits on skilled nursing facility inpatient routine service costs--HCFA. Final notice with comment period.

This notice sets forth a schedule of limits on skilled nursing facility (SNF) inpatient routine service costs that may be reimbursed under Medicare for cost reporting periods beginning on or after October 1, 1982. We are revising the limits to take into account more recent data and the effects of inflation, and to implement sections 102 and 103 of Pub. L. 92-248, the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982. This schedule replaces the current schedule that was published in the Federal Register on September 30, 1981 (46 FR 48026).
