This document corrects technical errors that appeared in the notice, published on January 3, 1984 (49 FR 336), that set forth target rate percentages needed to limit the rate of increase of hospital inpatient operating costs for cost reporting periods ending on or after January 1, 1984 and before September 30, 1984. The notice also contained updating factors and related information for use in computing transition payment rates under the prospective payment system.
