Fulfilling Medicare's criteria for consultative services.

Consultative clinical pathology services must fulfill certain conditions to be reimbursed by Medicare. This article explores how pathologists can best comply with the requirements. This article is adapted from Dr. Pastuszak's presentation at the Bridgeport Symposium entitled "Performance Requirements for Clinical Laboratories Under Prospective Reimbursement and DRGs."
