Abstract
"Aggressive moderation" to combat government's excess was the position suggested by John H. Budd, M.D., in his presidential address to the AMA's House of Delegates. Topics under discussion at this interim meeting included cost containment, primary responsibility for hospitalized patients, medical staff representation on hospital governing boards, PSROs, and the AMA's national health insurance proposal.
