Implementing value analysis in a small hospital.

Purchasing and materials managers at small hospitals are under the same pressures to reduce non-salary expense costs as their counterparts at larger institutions; however, they face a different situation and must employ different strategies. In several recent issues, HMM has looked at both why and how materials managers should perform value analysis. In this article, the author, a materials manager at a small hospital, discusses to problems in implementing value analysis in the smaller hospital.
