Abstract

Home equity conversion for the elderly is a means for elderly homeowners to draw down a portion of their accumulated wealth without having to sell their homes and/or move. The instruments to convert equity have substantial promise for matching the expenditure needs associated with long-term care services. There have been no formal attempts to pair these potential revenues and expenditures, but the revenue instruments are evolving to a point where such combinations are realistic and reasonable. This article describes why and how such a match might work.

老年人住房权益转换是老年房主无需出售房屋和/或搬家就能提取部分积累财富的一种方式。转换权益的工具在满足长期护理服务相关支出需求方面具有巨大潜力。目前尚未有正式尝试将这些潜在收入与支出进行配对,但收入工具正在不断发展,达到了使这种组合切实可行且合理的程度。本文描述了这种匹配为何以及如何能够实现。
