The National Guideline Clearinghouse (www.guideline.gov) features evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for a variety of diseases and conditions on a searchable Web site. The guidelines must meet certain criteria to be included and are presented with standardized abstracts and tables that allow for comparison of guidelines on similar topics. Officials say the easy access and improved credibility should lead to more widespread use of clinical practice guidelines.
