Embryos of 6 species of snakes--Ptyas mucosus (L.), Elaphe dione (Pall.), Psammophis lineolatum (Brandt), Natrix tesselata (Laur), Naja oxiana (EICHW.), Vipera lebetina turanica (Cernov) and V. l. obtusa--at the stage of egg laying are described morphologically. Different species of snakes are shown to lay the eggs containing embryos of different degrees of maturation. This series of transitions at the embryonic age (up to the time of egg viviparity) is connected with ecological peculiarities of different species.
对6种蛇——锦蛇(Ptyas mucosus (L.))、棕黑锦蛇(Elaphe dione (Pall.))、细纹沙蟒(Psammophis lineolatum (Brandt))、棋斑水游蛇(Natrix tesselata (Laur))、中亚眼镜蛇(Naja oxiana (EICHW.))、草原蝰土库曼亚种(Vipera lebetina turanica (Cernov))和草原蝰钝亚种(V. l. obtusa)——产卵阶段的胚胎进行了形态学描述。研究表明,不同种类的蛇所产的卵中胚胎的成熟程度不同。胚胎发育阶段(直至卵胎生时期)的这一系列转变与不同物种的生态特性有关。
