Analysis of 124 of the author's cases shows that an isolated mechanical compression of the suprascapular nerve lies often at the bottom of shoulder pain without obvious cause. The term "incisura scapulae syndrome" is recommended. Causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of this tunnel-syndrome are described in detail.
