A case is reported in which, after icterus gravis neonatorum (I.G.N.) with subsequent exchange transfusion, highly discolored permanent teeth were observed with the six-year molars showing hypoplastic cusps. Possible connections between I.G.N and the discoloration and hypoplasia of the permanent teeth are discussed.
