AIMS/METHODS: A longitudinal study of 22 malignant lymph nodes by colour Doppler (CD) and/or colour power (CP) ultrasonography was undertaken in 12 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patients to delineate changes in vascularity, and correlate this response with clinical outcome.
Reduced vascularity in response to chemotherapy was shown to be a positive prognostic sign.
More persistent nodal vascularity may signify a less favourable prognosis.
