Spinal dermoid cysts are congenital lesions. Neurological symptoms are related to the affected area of the vertebral canal. The commonest type involves the sacrococcygeal area. Lesions of the cauda equina are found which result in sciatic pain, paresis of the bladder and rectum, flaccid paresis of the legs, and/or sphincter disturbances. The histology is typical and benign. The images on CT and MR provide diagnosis. We report a case of spinal dermoid cyst revealed by chronic urinary retention.
脊髓皮样囊肿是先天性病变。神经症状与椎管受累区域有关。最常见的类型累及骶尾部区域。发现马尾神经损伤，导致坐骨神经痛、膀胱和直肠麻痹、腿部弛缓性麻痹和/或括约肌功能障碍。组织学表现典型且为良性。CT和MR图像有助于诊断。我们报告一例因慢性尿潴留发现的脊髓皮样囊肿病例。
