A case of an unusual extensive dentigerous cyst of the mandible with ameloblastic formations in the cyst wall is presented. The tumor was totally enucleated in a two-step conservative surgical prosedure over 14 months, whereby the continuity of the mandible was preserved. The patient has been followed for two years. There has been a complete bone regeneration and no recurrence of the tumor. The importance of biopsy of odontogenic cysts associated with mandibular third molars is stressed.
本文报告一例罕见的下颌骨巨大含牙囊肿病例，囊肿壁内有造釉细胞瘤形成。该肿瘤在14个月内分两步通过保守性手术完整摘除，保留了下颌骨的连续性。对患者进行了两年随访。下颌骨已完全再生，肿瘤无复发。强调了对下颌第三磨牙相关牙源性囊肿进行活检的重要性。
