[Disinfection and sterilization in stomatologic practice from the viewpoint of the district health inspection].

Disinfection and sterilization measures are of paramount importance in the prevention of iatrogenic infections in the medical consulting-room. They are parts of the hygiene schedule in the office. The disinfection and sterilization measures are largely determined by law. Their securing is incumbent on the head of the respective institution. The control of this securing devolves on the State Hygiene Inspectorate. With regard to the stomatological work place, special conditions arise in enforcing observance of the legal provisions. The author tries to compile some of these conditions from the viewpoint of a district hygiene inspectorate.
