Abstract

An analysis of the results of the candidates undertaking the Part 1 F.R.A.C.S. examination between February 1973 and February 1975 inclusive is presented. Particular attention is paid to those who failed the examination at the first attempt, and their subsequent progress has been related to their performance at this time. The analysis forms the basis for the information which is now given to unsuccessful candidates and their clinical supervisors.
