[Clinical features of tympanosclerosis].

The analysis of 412 case histories of patients operated for chronic otitis media was made. Tympanosclerosis (TS) was detected in 26(6.3%) patients. 19 patients had bilateral TS, 7 patients--unilateral. TS exacerbations observed up to the age of 13 frequently changed for long-term remission. All the patients had conductive and mixed hypoacusis. A total of 36 standard hearing-improving operations were made.
