- The effects of lanthanum on renin release and renal vasoconstriction were studied in the isolated perfused rat kidney. 2. Lanthanum reduced noradrenaline-induced renal vasoconstriction. 3. Lanthanum prevented isoprenaline-induced and glucagon-induced stimulation of renin secretion.
