[Data acquisition in clinical trials].

Methods of data acquisition in clinical trials are reviewed and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. To avoid the effort of multiple data acquisition and to eliminate possible transcription errors the data of the patients should be collected and stored in a data bank only once also in case of a drug study. From the data bank the results can be used for the different clinical purposes as well as for the statistical evaluation when testing drugs.
