Abstract

10-year experience of doctors and nurses postgraduate education in general National Research Center of Surgery of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences is described. Over 10 years 4210 specialists attended the advanced course, including 65.3% by individual education, 34.7% took part in work shops. The analysis of postgraduate education results carried out later (more than 1 year after the course) by 560 questionnaires, showed that almost all the respondents introduced new methods and technologies into the work of their establishments. 10-year results of postgraduate education in NRCS RAMS showed that it is a powerful fool for introducing scientific achievements into public health.
