Abstract
The proliferation of pigmentary-epithelium cells after they have given rise to cells of the regenerating retina is associated with the growth of the pigmentary epithelium and not with additions to the regenerating retina. The proliferative activity of pigmentary-epithelium cells during this period takes place against a background of simultaneous synthesis of specific proteins.
