[Squamous cell carcinoma of the conjunctiva with orbital invasion].

PURPOSE/METHODS: We report a case of a 71-year-old patient with a conjunctival squamous cell carcinoma with scleral and orbital invasion. Due to clinical suspicion of inferior rectus invasion and despite non conclusive histologic intraoperative findings, we decided to enucleate since the macroscopic features suggested an invasive lesion.

RESULTS/CONCLUSIONS: The histologic study is the most important factor to decide the therapeutic management in these neoplasias; however, other clinical features must be considered in each patient.
