Abstract
While embolic phenomena involving the central retinal artery or its branches have been often observed, reports of emboli to the cilioretinal artery are rare. A case is described in which a relatively young patient with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease sustained an embolus to a cilioretinal artery following heart surgery.
