Abstract
Peritonsillar abscesses may be treated by needle aspiration, incision and drainage, or abscess tonsillectomy. A modification of the technique of needle aspiration is described. This technique minimizes the risk of vascular damage during needle aspiration and is more reassuring to the patient.
