[Features of extracting phenol and 4-methylphenol from aqueous solutions].

Phenol and 4-methylphenol were extracted from aqueous solutions by 5 organic solvents. The degree of extraction depended on such factors as type of extracting agent, pH of aqueous phase, and water saturation of extracting agent. The necessary number of extractions for obtaining the preset volumes of studied compounds is calculated.
