Atypical fibroxanthoma of the skin.

Five cases of atypical fibroxanthoma of the skin are reported. This uncommon, benign skin lesion has a bizarre histological appearance, which may frequently be misdiagnosed as milignant by the unwary. It is, however, eminently recognisable and an awareness of the condition may prevent unnecessary radical surgery.
