[The importance of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp archives for a historian of medicine].

Abstract
With the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp the author presents a selection of historical documents concerning the camp medical service which are at the museum in Oświecim. He stressed their minimal use in medical historical works.
