[The Faculté de médecine de Douai and the schools of surgery from their origins to the Revolution].

Abstract
The University of Douai and its College of medicine were founded on January, 6th 1560. A Bull written by Pie IV made official the request of Philip II, King of Spain to own a roman catholic University in a French speaking country in order to face the universities more or less devoted to the Reformation. Two, then three royal chairs taught not only medicine, but also the art of surgery and anatomy. The influence of the College of medicine in Douai was the same as the other 22 Colleges that existed in France in the beginning of the 18th century.

杜埃大学及其医学院成立于1560年1月6日。教皇庇护四世撰写的一份诏书批准了西班牙国王菲利普二世的请求，即在一个说法语的国家建立一所罗马天主教大学，以应对或多或少倾向于宗教改革的大学。当时有两个，后来有三个皇家教授职位，不仅教授医学，还教授外科手术和解剖学。18世纪初，杜埃医学院在法国的影响力与其他22所学院相当。
