In this series of articles several cultural XVII century aspects are shown. Customs, the growing popular acceptance of assistance services offered by the erratic "tooth-drawer", the barbers, physicians and surgeons, and many practitioners with similar skills. Treatments and usual therapy are mentioned here, mixed with medical tradition, popular knowledge and superstition. In this century progress of Anatomy is observed, related to the mouth, even though it's remarkable the forgetfulness of Fallopius and Eustachius work. Science getting more organized in academies, saloons, cenacles, was not to offer up to XIXth century its necessary scientific apport to the growing and progressist dental profession.
