Even though Hürthle cell carcinoma is a distinct histologic entity, the clinical course of these patients is similar to that of patients with follicular carcinoma of the thyroid and they should be so treated. This review covers a study of thirty-five previously untreated patients with Hürthle cell cancer of the thyroid.
