Malignant tumors of peripheral nerve sheath (malignant Schwannoma) arising in mediastinum are rare, principally in patients without Von Recklinghausen's disease been fever exceptional as symptom of presentation. We present a case of a woman without neurofibromatosis with a malignant Schwannoma in posterior mediastinum who present as fever of unknown origin, and we comment radiological, hystological and inmunnochemical features.
