Authors report a case of operative elimination of a liver tumor of a 26 year old female patient. The histologic diagnosis was benign focal nodular hyperplasia of the liver. The aetiopathogenetic, diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties connected with this rarely occurring disease are discussed.
