Abstract

OBJECTIVE

This study describes the MR imaging findings of focal osteochondral lesions found in the hips of 11 athletes with persistent pain and normal findings on radiographs.

CONCLUSION

Osteochondral lesions of the femoral head are seen on MR imaging as focal, medial areas of high T2-weighted and low T1-weighted signals and should be considered as a possible cause of persistent hip or groin pain in young, high-level athletes because the institution of appropriate treatment may help to prevent late degenerative sequelae.

目的

本研究描述了11例持续性疼痛且X线片表现正常的运动员髋关节局灶性骨软骨损伤的磁共振成像(MR)表现。

结论

股骨头骨软骨损伤在MR成像上表现为T2加权像高信号、T1加权像低信号的局灶性内侧区域,对于年轻的高水平运动员,应将其视为持续性髋部或腹股沟疼痛的可能原因,因为采取适当治疗可能有助于预防晚期退变后遗症。
