OBJECTIVE
To evaluate the results of TRAFIX internal fixation system in correction of adolescent scoliosis.
METHODS
From October 1997 to June 1999, 27 patients with idiopathic scoliosis received spinal instrumentation with TRAFIX system. Their average age was 14.2 years (from 11 to 21). Four patients of the 27 underwent anterior release, while 1 patient accepted revision approach. The average follow up time was 26 months (13-37 months).
RESULTS
The measurements for primary coronal deformity before and after surgery were 65 degrees (42 degrees-110 degrees) and 29.2 degrees (3 degrees-64 degrees) respectively. The average curve correction was 55.4%. The average fused segments were 11.5 vertebrae. The distance between the center of apex and C7 plumb line was 52.1 mm before operation (25-94 mm) and 28.5 mm after surgery (4-62 mm).
CONCLUSION
The TRAFIX internal fixation system provides three-dimensional correction with refinement, convenient and reliable fixation.
目的
评估TRAFIX内固定系统矫正青少年脊柱侧弯的效果。
方法
1997年10月至1999年6月，27例特发性脊柱侧弯患者接受了TRAFIX系统脊柱内固定术。他们的平均年龄为14.2岁（11至21岁）。27例患者中有4例接受了前路松解，1例接受了翻修手术。平均随访时间为26个月（13至37个月）。
结果
术前和术后原发性冠状面畸形的测量值分别为65度（42度至110度）和29.2度（3度至64度）。平均曲线矫正率为55.4%。平均融合节段为11.5个椎体。术前顶点中心与C7铅垂线之间的距离为52.1毫米（25至94毫米），术后为28.5毫米（4至62毫米）。
结论
TRAFIX内固定系统提供三维精确矫正，固定方便可靠。
