The monocular and binocular vision will always be disturbed after unilateral cataract extraction in childhood. The treatment therefore not only means operation, but also correction of the optic error, pleoptics and orthoptics. In 40 cases of unilateral aphakia (12 congenital, 28 traumatical) the prognosis depends on the age of the individual and maintenance of treatment. The older the child and the sooner therapy is started the better are the functional results.
儿童单侧白内障摘除术后，单眼和双眼视力总会受到影响。因此，治疗不仅意味着手术，还包括矫正视力误差、进行弱视治疗和视轴矫正训练。在40例单侧无晶状体眼患者（12例先天性，28例外伤性）中，预后取决于个体年龄和治疗的持续情况。孩子年龄越大且治疗开始得越早，功能恢复结果越好。
