To assay the concentrations of the trace elements in intranuclei and extranuclei between oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) and normal buccal membrane, to observe the relationship between the trace elements and OSF, and finally to understand the mechanism of OSF.
The concentrations of the trace elements of internuclei and extranuclei in OSF epithelial cells were assayed in computer automatic process by electron probe micro-analysis.
The concentrations of Cu, Zn, S, and As in OSF were significantly lower than those in the normal buccal membrane (P < 0.01). The concentrations of Se and Mo were significantly higher than those in the normal buccal membrane(P < 0.01).
The epithelial cells of OSF are seriously damaged by the low level of Cu and Zn and high level of Se in intracell. These changes are the element bases that OSF has canceration trend.
检测口腔黏膜下纤维化(OSF)与正常颊黏膜细胞核内及核外微量元素的浓度,观察微量元素与OSF的关系,以了解OSF的发病机制。
采用电子探针微量分析技术,通过计算机自动处理测定OSF上皮细胞核内及核外微量元素的浓度。
OSF中铜、锌、硫和砷的浓度显著低于正常颊黏膜(P < 0.01)。硒和钼的浓度显著高于正常颊黏膜(P < 0.01)。
细胞内低水平的铜和锌以及高水平的硒严重损害了OSF的上皮细胞。这些变化是OSF具有癌变倾向的元素基础。
