[Mechanism of contusion injuries of the lungs in gunshot wounds of the upper part of the abdomen].

The authors have studied experimentally changes in the lung in gunshot injuries of the upper abdomen. A temporary pulsating cavity, that is formed at the moment of injury, renders a damaging effect on the pulmonary tissue, thus contributing to the development of postcontusion pneumonia.
