The vote was unanimous. The Senate's Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee last week approved Richard Carmona (left) as U.S. surgeon general, with the full Senate expected to confirm him in the coming weeks. Carmona is among three Bush administration nominees to key public health posts.
