Abstract
The results of chemotherapy based on an intersanatorial study of 3306 patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis are presented. In 1967 sputum conversion was achieved in 93%; since 1970 the results have been better, with conversion in 96-97%. From 1967 to 1972 the cavitations disappeared in 51-57% of patients with cavitary disease, but in 1972 and 1973 only in 47% and 36% respectively.
